Effect of macronutrients on establishment of Korean lawn grass (Zoysia japonica Steud.)

Abstract:
An investigation was carried out to know the “Effect of macronutrients on establishment of Korean lawn grass (Zoysia japonica Steud.)” at horticultural research cum institutional farm, Pt. KLS College of Horticulture and Research Station, Pendri Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh during the year 2020-2021 In Randomized Block Design (RBD), with three replications and 12 treatments. The treatments includes, T1: Control (Without any fertilizers), T2: 50g N2 + 20g P2O5 + 30 g K2O per m2, T3: 45g N2 + 15g P2O5 + 25g K2O per m2, T4: 45g N2 + 10g P2O5 + 20g K2O per m2 T5: 40g N2 + 20g P2O5 + 30g K2O per m2, T6: 40g N2 + 10g P2O5 + 20g K2O per m2, T7: 40g N2 + 05g P2O5 + 15g K2O per m2, T8: 30g N2 + 10g P2O5 + 20g K2O per m2, T9: 30g N2 + 05g P2O5 + 10g K2O per m2, T10: 30g N2 + 05g P2O5 + 05g K2O per m2, T11: 20g N2 + 10g P2O5 + 10g K2O per m2, T12: 20g N2 + 05g P2O5 + 05g K2O per m2. The experimental results revealed that the T2 (50g N2 + 20g P2 O5 + 30g K2O per m2) performed best in growth character namely, shoot length of turf, leaf length of turf, root length of turf, shoot fresh weight of turf.
