Abstract:
Influence of six different Media for mycelial growth & Chlamydospore production of two best high yielding isolates BYT VV-02 & BYT VV-05 of Volvariella volvacea was studied and found Malt Extract Media reflects significantly higher Radial Growth, Biomass & Chlamydospore density followed by Potato dextrose Agar, Wheat extract Agar medium, Yeast Mannitol agar medium, while in Czapek’s medium with slowest mycelial growth & Poor chlamydospores density is reported followed by Glucose-peptone medium.
