Effect of phosphorus and sulphur on growth and yield of black gram (Vigna mungo L.)

Abstract:
A field experiment was carried out during during Zaid season 2021 showed that the basal application of 50 kg Phosphorus ha-1 with 30 kg Sulphur ha-1 to black gram (Vigna mungo L.) gave the highest plant Height, plant dry weight, Crop growth rate, test weight, seed and stover yield as well as protein content found statistically superior over rest of the treatments. Efficient use of fertilizers like Phosphors and Sulphur helps in enhancing the production, productivity and quality of the Black gram.
