Abstract:
The field experiment was conducted during Kharif season 2019 at Experiment farm of Agronomy Department, Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Krishi Vidyapeeth, Parbhani, to study the effect of tillage and crop residue management practices on soil moisture and bulk density of soil under conservation agriculture. The experiment was laid out in a split plot design with the combinations of three tillage practices in main plots and five crop residue management practices in sub plots with three replications on fixed site. Results indicated that the reduced tillage and crop residue application @ 5t/ha + consortia @ 5kg/ha was found highest soil moisture over the rest of treatments. In case of bulk density treatment conventional tillage and crop residue application @ 5t/ha + consortia @ 5kg/ha recorded significant improvement in bulk density of soil.
