Abstract:
The present investigation was conducted at the Horticultural Research cum Instructional Farm, IGKV, Raipur (C.G.) during the year 2020-21 and 2021-22 in Rabi season. The experiment was comprised of with eight treatments i.e. T1: 75% RDF + 2.5 t FYM ha-1, T2: 50% RDF + 5.0 t FYM, T3: 25% RDF + 7.5 t FYM, T4: 75% RDF + 1 t vermicompost, T5: 50% RDF + 2 t vermicompost, T6: 25% RDF + 3 t vermicompost, T7: Recommended doses of fertilizer and T8: Control (without application) which were laid out in randomize block design with three replications. Result revealed that the physiological parameters i.e. relative growth rate (5.56, 5.04 and 5.30 g g-1 day-1 m-2) and crop growth rate (0.75, 0.68 and 0.72 g day-1 m-2) recorded higher under 75% RDF + 1 t vermicompost during both the year and pooled mean. While, absolute growth rate (g day-1) and crop water use efficiency (kg ha mm-1) recorded higher under 75% RDF + 1 t vermicompost and 75% RDF + 2.5 t FYM during. All physiological parameters were recorded minimum under control (without application).
