Abstract:
The research work was conducted with a view to know the status of Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana in Raipur division of Chhattisgarh. In the present study the opinion of beneficiaries towards the scheme was studied with a sample of 351 farmers. RGKNY Scheme is the agriculture input support scheme launched by the state government of Chhattisgarh towards adequate investment in agriculture and relief in input cost. Along with the MSP, scheme covers production cost on kharif crop specially paddy under RGKNY which was launched in 2020. Farmers are provided with input allowance in four installments through DBT. Farmer friendly policies and their efficient implementation has led to a “silent revolution” in Chhattisgarh agriculture. Registered area under this scheme are 2700709.33, 2806890.95, 3122202.599 and 3392348.09 respectively from 2019 to 2022. The beneficiary farmers who received funds under this scheme are 1843370, 2059068,2399604 and 2641402 respectively for the year 2019 to 2022. And payment amount was 5627.02, 5553 and 5221 for the year of 2019, 2020, 2021 and the payment amount of year 2022 is not yet passed only registration has been done.
