Effect of fertilizer and organic manure on growth performance of paddy (Oryza sativa L.) varieties under casuarina (Casuarina equisetifolia) based agrisilviculture system on sodic soil

Abstract:
The presented investigation was conducted with the objective to know effect of fertilizer and organic manure on growth performance of paddy (Oryza sativa L.) varieties under casuarina (Casuarina equisetifolia) based agrisilviculture system on sodic soil during Kharifi season of 2021-22 and 2022-23 at Acharya narendra deva university of agriculture and technology, kumarganj, Ayodhya. The experiment was conducted in factorial randomized block design (RBD) with three replication. The study comprised 2 variety Sarjoo-52 and NDR-359 with six treatments of fertilizer and organic manure D0 Control, D1+RDF (NPK 100%) D2+50% RDF+50% -N-FYM, D3+75% RDF+25% N-FYM, D4+50% RDF+50% N-VC, D5+75% RDF+25% N-VC (vermi-compost) along with the Agrisilviculture system. Recorded revealed that maximum growth of Casuarina equisetifolia (tree height 16.07 and dbh. 28.20 cm etc. at end of experiment) was measured in (D5 +75% RDF+25% N-VC). The present investigation showed that the growth attributes were significantly influence due to different varieties and combination of inorganic and inorganic manure during both the years and in pooled analysis. The growth attributed viz., plant height (cm), at 30, 60, 90 DAT at harvest and number of tiller/row m-2 were recorded significantly higher with the V1 (Sarjoo-52) and application of D5 +75% RDF+25% N-VC both the year and in pooled analysis.
