Abstract:
A field experiment to know the relationship between Leaf nitrogen and Chlorophyll content as nano urea application in Maize (Zea mays L.) was conducted during Kharif 2021 at the College of Agriculture, Navile, Shivamogga, on sandy loam soil. The experiment was laid out in RCBD with nine treatments replicated thrice. Treatments include combinations of basal application of prilled urea at 25 and 50% recommended N (RDN) with a spray application of nano urea at 15, 30, 45 and 60 DAS, which were compared with the package, absolute control and N management through LCC using nano urea. Before and ten days after the spray of nano urea developed a regression coefficient between leaf N and chlorophyll content at 15 DAS (R2 = 0.48 & 0.59), 30 DAS (R2 = 0.68 & 0.75), 45 DAS (R2 = 0.61 & 0.80) and 60 DAS (R2 = 0.78 & 0.87).
