Abstract:
An experiment was conducted at Instructional Farm, Barrister Thakur Chhedilal College of Agriculture and Research Station, Bilaspur (C.G.) during kharif season of 2022 to study the effect of foliar application of nutrients on growth and yield of Horsegram [Macrotyloma uniflorum (Lam.) Verdc.]. The result revealed that treatment T7 (RDN + 2% NPK 19:19:19 spray) recorded significantly higher growth parameters viz., plant height, number of branches plant-1, number of leaves plant-1, dry matter accumulation (g plant-1), number of root nodule plant-1 and nodule dry weight (mg plant-1) and yield attributes viz., number of pods plant-1, number of seeds pod-1, pod length (cm), test weight (g), grain yield as well as stover yield and biological yield of Horsegram, but at par with T5 (RDN + 2% DAP spray). All foliar application treatments and RDN shows superiority over control (T1). Treatment T1 (control) shows significantly lowest value of these parameters.
