Abstract:
A series of new quinoxaline derivatives was synthesized by reacting 2, 3-dichloro quionoxaline with various boronic acids, silicic acid and selenous acid in mild, efficient and convenient method with good yields in less time. All the newly synthesized compounds were characterized by IR, NMR (1H, 13C & 11B) and mass spectroscopy and also screened for their antimicrobial activity. Among the title compounds, 4-fluoro phenyl, 2,4-difluoro phenyl and 4-chloro phenyl groups substituted compounds at boron have showed potent antimicrobial activity when compared to the standard drugs.
