Abstract:
A field experiment was conducted during Kharif 2017 at Agronomy farm, S.K.N. College of Agriculture, Jobner, Jaipur (India). The experiment was conducted in RBD with three replications. The experiment consist of 16 treatment combinations in which P and S were applied in four different levels each of phosphorus (0, 20, 40 and 60 kg P2O5 ha-1) and sulphur (0, 20, 40 and 60 kg S ha-1). The variety of test crop (clusterbean) was RGC-1038. Based on the research investigation it was found that the application of phosphorus @ 40 kg ha-1 recorded maximum increase in number of pods per plant, number of seeds per pod, seed yield, straw yield, gum content and protein content as compared to other treatments such as control and P20. The treatment P40 and P60 were remained statistically at par. The increasing levels of sulphur upto 40 kg ha-1 significantly increased the number of pods per plant, number of seeds per pod, seed yield, straw yield, gum content and protein content in seeds of clusterbean as compared to control and S20.
