Abstract:
The present investigation was carried out to study the, “Effect of micronutrients on growth and yield of cauliflower (Brassica oleracea var. botrytis L.) cv. Snowball-16” was carried out at Horticulture farm of Udai Pratap Autonomous College, Varanasi during 2018-2019 in winter season. The experiment was conducted with 12 treatments of boron in Randomized Block Design with three replications. The plot size was 1.5 m × 1.2 m with spacing of 45 cm × 45 cm. Each plot consisted of 3 rows with 3 plants. Each replication was comprised of 12 treatments are T1 (Control), T2 (Foliar application of Ammonium molybdate @ 0.1%), T3 (Foliar application of Ammonium molybdate @ 0.2%), T4 (Foliar application of Ammonium molybdate @ 0.3%), T5 (Foliar application of Borax @ 0.25%), T6 (Foliar application of Borax @ 0.50%), T7 (Foliar application of Borax @ 0.23% + Ammonium molybdate @ 0.1%), T8 (Foliar application of Borax @ 0.25% + Ammonium molybdate @ 0.2%), T9 (Foliar application of Borax @ 0.25% + Ammonium molybdate @ 0.3%), T1o (Foliar application of Borax @ 0.50% + Ammonium molybdate @ 0.1%), T11 (Foliar application of Borax @ 0.50% + Ammonium molybdate @ 0.2%), T12 (Foliar application of Borax 0.50% + Ammonium molybdate @ 0.3%). Foliar application of Borax @ 0.50% and Ammonium molybdate @ 0.1%(T10) are most effective for highest growth and yield of cauliflower (Brassica oleracea var. botrytis L.) comparison to other treatments as well as control. This in general, may be adopted for profitable cultivation of cauliflower crop under the agro-climatic condition of Varanasi region.
