Abstract:
An experiment was conducted during kharif, 2015 to evaluate the efficacy of seven insecticides viz., fipronil 5% SC @ 500 g a.i ha-1, spinosad 45% SC @ 125 g a.i ha-1, chlorantraniliprole 20% SC @ 30 g a.i ha-1, profenophos 50% EC @ 400 g a.i ha-1, lambda cyhalothrin 5% SC @ 15.63 g a.i ha-1, imidacloprid + beta cyfluthrin 300% OD @ 30 g a.i ha-1 and dimethoate 30 % EC @ 300 g a.i ha-1 against chilli thrips. The dissipation pattern of spinosad 45% SC @ 125 g a.i ha-1 was studied collecting samples at regular intervals i.e. 0, 1, 3, 5, 7, 10 and 15 days after last spray and analyzed. The initial deposits of 0.78 mg kg-1 were dissipated to 0.10 mg kg-1 by 5th day after third spray on chilli. The residues of 0.43, 0.18 and 0.10 mg kg-1 were recorded at 1, 3 and 5 days after last spray, respectively. However residues were below detectable level (BDL) from 7 days after third spray and showed 100.00 per cent dissipation.
