Abstract:
In the present investigation was undertaken for study of serum biochemical and hematological parameters of Pati ducks in their postnatal development. Randomly selected 24 birds were divided into four groups and they were kept for different ages i.e. 1 week, 8 weeks, 16 weeks and 24 weeks. It was observed that ALP decreased significantly (p≤0.01) with age i.e. for 1 to 24 weeks while AST and ALT increased significantly (p<0.05) with age. The GGT level and RBC count was non-significant. The WBC count and Hb level was found significantly (p<0.01) low in 1 week Pati duck compared to other age groups. The PCV was found significantly (p<0.01) highest at 24 week of Pati duck.
