Abstract:
The investigation was conducted in Chhindwara and Rewa district of Madhya Pradesh as well as Raipur and Kawardha district of Chhattisgarh to identify the constraints faced by Cluster Frontline Demonstration beneficiaries in adoption of CFLD production technologies on oilseeds. Data were collected from 346 beneficiaries of CFLD programme, which were selected with complete sampling method. Major constraints reported by farmer beneficiaries were, inadequate finance, not getting remunerative price of product in local market, shortages and high wages of labour, lack of training about improved production technologies etc. Most of the farmers suggested that availability of improved variety of seed should be provided on time and at reasonable rate, proper, easy as well as timely credit availability at low interest rate, fair price should be given to the produce and a greater number of trainings should be provided for better understanding of improved production of technologies.
