Effect of cattle urine and Vermiwash on periodical success and growth of rooted black pepper saplings

Abstract:
The experiment entitled “Effect of cattle urine and vermiwash on periodical success and growth of rooted black pepper saplings” was carried out in 2022-23 with ten treatments viz., T1 Cattle urine 2.5%, T2 Cattle urine 5%, T3 Cattle urine 7.5%, T4 Cattle urine 10%, T5 Vermiwash 10%, T6 Vermiwash 15%, T7 Vermiwash 20%, T8 Vermiwash 25%, T9 Keradix powder and T10 Control and each treatment was replicated thrice in Randomized Block Design. The highest success percentage (91.29%) was recorded in treatment T4. Minimum days required for first sprouting (12.13 days) was observed in treatment T7 where minimum days required for last sprouting (45.67 days) was observed in treatment T4. Highest girth of sprout (6.37 mm), leaf area (69.75 cm2) and length of root (16.70 cm) was recorded in treatment T4 which was significantly superior over all treatments.
