Abstract:
The experiment entitled “Effect of cattle urine and vermiwash on periodical success and growth of rooted black pepper saplings” was carried out in 2022-23 with ten treatments viz., T₁ Cattle urine 2.5%, T₂ Cattle urine 5%, T₃ Cattle urine 7.5%, T₄ Cattle urine 10%, T₅ Vermiwash 10%, T₆ Vermiwash 15%, T₇ Vermiwash 20%, T₈ Vermiwash 25%, T₉ Keradix powder and T₁₀ Control and each treatment was replicated thrice in Randomized Block Design. The highest success percentage (91.29%) was recorded in treatment T₄. Minimum days required for first sprouting (12.13 days) was observed in treatment T₇ where minimum days required for last sprouting (45.67 days) was observed in treatment T₄. Highest girth of sprout (6.37 mm), leaf area (69.75 cm²) and length of root (16.70 cm) was recorded in treatment T₄ which was significantly superior over all treatments.
