Incidence of corneal ulcers and opacities in dogs

Abstract:
The present study was carried out among the dogs presented to the Veterinary College Hospital, Hebbal, Bengaluru during a period of one year from January 2022 to December 2022. Radiology, Veterinary College Hospital, Hebbal, Bangalore were 13,761. Of these, 9959 were dogs. Out of these, the number of dogs presented with ocular affections were 231. The incidence of various ocular affections in dogs was found to be 2.31%, while Corneal ulcers and opacities were found to be 0.64 percent of all the cases presented, and among total ocular affections, corneal ulcers and opacities represented 27.70 percent.
